About this service

What is Collision — and when do you need it?

Collision repair covers everything from a crumpled front bumper to a car that took a hard hit from multiple angles: panel straightening, structural correction, paint and primer, glass, and the sensor recalibration that modern vehicles require before they're truly road-safe again. You need it any time the force of an impact may have moved metal beyond its elastic limit — even if the damage looks minor on the outside. A dented door can hide a bent frame rail. A cracked bumper cover can conceal a damaged mounting structure that affects how your airbags deploy. After any accident — whether it's a collision with another vehicle, a parking-lot hit, an animal strike, or weather damage — the right move is an honest estimate from technicians who are certified to assess your specific vehicle.

Right situation

Signs you need this service

  • Any collision with another vehicle, a fixed object, or an animal
  • Parking-lot hits where you're unsure how deep the damage goes
  • Hail or weather damage that dented panels
  • Damage that looks minor on the outside — a dented door can hide a bent frame rail
  • Any impact where airbag deployment or structural integrity may be affected

The Morrey difference

Why factory certification matters for collision.

Certified procedures, not guesswork

Every OEM — Nissan, Infiniti, Volvo — publishes repair procedures specific to each model and year. Independent shops often don't have access to them. We do. We follow them. That means the repair method, the parts specifications, the weld locations, and the corrosion-protection steps are exactly what the manufacturer intended.

Genuine parts by default

We use OEM parts as our standard, not an exception. Aftermarket panels and structural components can have different metal grades, different fitment tolerances, and no manufacturer backing. Your factory warranty and your safety systems depend on genuine specifications.

ADAS is never an afterthought

Modern vehicles rely on cameras, radar, and sensors mounted to the very panels and glass we repair. Collision forces — even moderate ones — shift those components. We recalibrate every affected safety system before your vehicle leaves. Not as an upsell. As part of the repair.

The lifetime warranty is unconditional

Our workmanship warranty covers the repair for as long as you own the vehicle. It's in writing. It covers parts, labour, and paint. Bring it back any time.

ICBC, handled

We're ICBC accredited. We write the estimate, manage the supplements when hidden damage is found (and it usually is), and bill ICBC directly. You pay your deductible — that's it.

How it works

How Collision works at Morrey Autobody & Glass.

  1. Step 1:

Free estimate — in person or by photo

Drop your vehicle in or send photos through our online form. A certified estimator assesses the full scope of damage, not just what's visible. Same-day response, no obligation.

  2. Step 2:

    We handle your ICBC claim

You report the loss to ICBC; we take it from there. We submit the estimate, negotiate supplements, order genuine parts, and keep you informed at every step.

  3. Step 3:

    Certified technicians get to work

A technician certified for your make takes ownership of the repair. Structural work, panel replacement, welding, and corrosion protection all follow OEM spec — every step.

  4. Step 4:

    Paint, finishing, and ADAS recalibration

Our colour-match system targets your exact factory colour — same tone in every light. We recalibrate every sensor, camera, and radar unit affected by the repair.

  5. Step 5:

    Quality inspection, detail, and delivery

Every repair passes a final inspection before we touch base with you. Your vehicle comes back washed, cleaned, and ready — with a lifetime warranty receipt in hand.

Questions answered

Questions about collision.

Can I choose Morrey Autobody & Glass even if ICBC sends me somewhere else?
Yes — always. ICBC may recommend shops on their preferred list, but the choice is legally yours. You have the right to bring your vehicle to any licensed collision repair facility in BC, including Morrey Autobody & Glass. We handle the approval process with ICBC; you don't need to fight that battle.
Will ICBC cover the cost of OEM (genuine) parts?
ICBC covers the cost of restoring your vehicle to its pre-loss condition. In most cases — particularly for newer vehicles — genuine OEM parts are the appropriate standard, and we advocate for that on your behalf. If there's ever a parts dispute, your estimator works through it with ICBC directly.
How long does collision repair take?
It depends on the extent of damage, parts availability, and ICBC approval timing. A single-panel repair may take three to five business days. A structural repair or multi-panel job can take two to four weeks. We give you a realistic timeline at estimate, not an optimistic one — and we update you throughout.
What if more damage is found once the repair starts?
It happens more often than people expect. Hidden damage — to structure, wiring, or suspension — only shows itself once panels come off. We document it, photograph it, and submit a supplement to ICBC before proceeding. You don't pay more than your deductible.
Does the repair affect my car's resale value?
A properly documented, OEM-spec repair by a factory-certified shop is the best-case scenario for your vehicle history. Insurers and dealers recognize the difference. We can provide full documentation of the repair scope and parts used.
